8thDecember 2016, New Zealand CRRC Locomotive and Rolling Stocks Service Ltd. establishment ceremony have held in Auckland, New Zealand. The person attended this ceremony were: Commercial counselors of the Economic and Commercial Counsellor’s office of the Embassy of China in New Zealand, Board director of Kiwirail, top management team include CEO, and group managers who are in charge of asset, operation, network, etc. leaders from CRRC, leaders and responsible person of CRRC Dloco, CRRC QRRS and PPD, also related person from transportation, port, bank, freight had attended, more than 40 persons attended the ceremony.

The establishment of the this new company which is a joint venture of CRRC DLoco, CRRC QRRS and PPD, is intended to improve the performance of locomotives and wagons exported from CRRC by way of better technical support and service locally, aim at provide better after sales service, and to enhance the brand image and credibility, After the establishment of the this joint venture, we will employ high level experts to monitor the operation of the locomotives, focus on the investigation and diagnosis of operational issues for continuous improvement in the design of the rolling stock and spare parts. Our expert team will provide high quality technical support to the KiwiRail staff who will continue to carry out repair and maintenance work on the locomotive fleet.

CRRC Qiqihar company has started the cooperation with Kiwirail since 2008, had provided more than 1000 wagons for New Zealand railway. In the October 2016, QRRS signed the contract for 150 wagons with Kiwirail again.
